Support Our Staff Members
Eleos Project uses volunteer staff to reduce administrative costs. Our staff raise most or all of their own financial support. This model greatly reduces administrative costs and allows us to be more effective in financially providing life-sustaining clean, safe water for the poor in developing countries.
In order to maitain this model our staff need your financial support to continue the work they are so passionate about. Without these workers our initiatives in clean water, health, education and agriculture would not be possible. Your support is urgently needed today to keep these workers committed to these initiatives.
Who are the Eleos Project Staff?
Mark & Camille Purington started working in Africa over a decade ago and have been working on the ground full-time in Kenya and South Sudan for three years. Their home base in the U.S. is Denver, Colorado. In 2006 they were called to Africa and started the Eleos Project in South Sudan. After three years in Africa it became very evident that without access to clean, safe drinking water, health, education, and economic development will continue to suffer. Sustained access to clean, safe water is one of the instrumental building blocks needed to eradicate poverty.
In 2009 they started the Never Thirst Again clean water initiative for sub-Saharan Africa. They plan to return home to Nairobi, Kenya in 2010 to start this initiative and provide life-sustaining clean water for the poor in rural areas of Kenya. Mark and Camille are presently in the U.S. to actively raise awareness of the global water crisis in Africa and to raise funds for drilling equipment to be able to tap into existing ground water resources in Kenya.
